Murder in Daria Village: Husband Arrested for Wife’s Killing
CHANDIGARH – The Chandigarh Police have arrested a man in connection with the brutal murder of his wife in Village Daria.
According to official sources, the incident occurred on February 21 around 1:20 PM. The complainant, Pardeep Mohan—a resident of House No. 60, Gali No. 2, Village Daria—alleged that the accused, identified as Vinod, murdered his wife, Seema, at their residence.
Following the complaint, the Industrial Area Police Station registered FIR No. 31 under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation, led by the In-charge of the Daria Police Post, resulted in the successful apprehension of the accused.

Investment Scam in Sector 47 In the first instance, Bharat Bhushan Sharma of Sector 47-C reported being cheated of ₹29,45,000. The victim alleged that an unknown individual lured him into a fraudulent investment scheme. Police have registered FIR No. 33 under various sections of the BNS, including 318(4) and 319(2).
Mobile Hacking Fraud in Sector 15 In a second high-value case, Buland Iqbal Singh, a resident of Sector 15-C, lost ₹32,91,000 to cyber criminals. The complainant stated that the money was swindled under the pretext of mobile hacking. FIR No. 34 has been lodged, and a detailed investigation is currently underway to trace the digital footprint of the scammers.
