Major House Thefts Reported in Sarangpur and Maloya
Burglars have targeted residential areas in Sarangpur and Maloya, escaping with significant valuables. In Sarangpur, Thingnam Rajesh Singh reported a break-in at his house on February 28. The unknown suspects stole two gold chains, three rings, and ₹1 lakh in cash. Therefore, the police registered FIR No. 33 to begin a formal probe.
Another theft took place in Maloya during the night of March 1. Complainant Rakesh Kumar discovered that a gold chain and jewelry were missing from his flat. The thieves also took ₹80,000 in cash during the heist. Police filed FIR No. 40 at the Maloya Police Station. The accused include Vikash Bibra, his wife, and Harmohinder Singh Virk. They allegedly cheated the complainant of ₹25 lakhs on the pretext of selling a house.
