CHANDIGARH – In a move to celebrate the true backbone of our society, North India Star has officially invited nominations for the North India Star Awards 2026. This initiative has been specifically designed to honour the “unsung heroes”—those exceptional individuals and institutions whose selfless service often goes unnoticed in the daily hustle of the news cycle.
Recognising Excellence in the Shadows
The awards aim to bring into the limelight those who have dedicated their lives to the welfare of others without seeking fame. From the remote hamlets of the Himalayas to the bustling agricultural hubs of the plains, the North India Star Awards seek to highlight stories of grit, innovation, and compassion that define the spirit of North India.
Comprehensive Categories for a Vibrant Society
To ensure that every sector of society is represented, the 2026 awards feature a diverse range of categories:
- Healthcare & Wellness Stars: This category honours excellence in Allopathy, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Unani, Sidha, and Yoga. It also includes a special salute to our Nursing staff and Health Coaches who are pioneering the wellness revolution.
- Education & Academic Stars: Nominations are open for School, College, and University Stars. We also seek to reward Star Teachers and Librarians who have gone the extra mile to ignite the flame of knowledge.
- Media & Journalism Stars: Recognising the “Fourth Estate,” awards will be given to the Best Anchor, Reporter, Editor, Video Journalist, and Cinematographer. A new-age category for the Star Influencer has also been added to honour positive digital impact.
- Governance & Leadership: We are looking for the Star Neta (Leader) and Public Representatives who have shown true visionary leadership. The Bureaucrat Star category will honour IAS and IPS officers for their administrative brilliance.
- Professionals & Grassroots Heroes: This segment covers Scientists, Engineers, Lawyers, Entrepreneurs, and Writers. At the grassroots level, we invite nominations for the Social Activist, Environmentalist, Star Farmer, Horticulturist, and the prestigious Village Star.
The Nomination Process
The organisers have made the nomination process simple and accessible to encourage maximum participation from the public. If you know someone—a neighbour, a colleague, or a local leader—who has made a significant difference through their work, you can nominate them by filling out the official form. The jury will focus on the tangible impact, sustainability, and selflessness of the nominee’s contribution.
“Our goal is to find those stars who shine the brightest but are rarely seen,” said the announcement. “This is not just an award ceremony; it is a platform to inspire millions by showcasing the power of one person’s dedication.”
How to Nominate
The official Nomination Form is now live on all North India Star digital platforms. Applicants are encouraged to provide a detailed summary of the nominee’s achievements along with any supporting documents like photographs, news clips, or testimonials.
Join us in celebrating the pride of the North. Let’s ensure our unsung heroes finally get the “shabaashi” they deserve.
